Grange Hall Road Widening Public Involvement Page
You are invited to our Online Public Open House starting April 7, 2021 for the Grange Hall Road Widening project. Due to the pandemic, we are not holding a large, in-person meeting to discuss the project; however, we still want to hear from you! The goal of this virtual event is to provide you an opportunity to learn about the project and provide feedback to the City, while following safety protocols during the pandemic.
The project will widen Grange Hall Road, between Summerfield Drive and Kemp Road, from 2 lanes to 3 lanes to provide a two way left turn lane, an eight-foot wide sidewalk on the west side, and a five-foot wide sidewalk on the east side. The project will also include the curb, gutter, and storm sewer along the corridor. The project cost is approximately $4,200,000 and is funded 75% with federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) funds with a 25% local match. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2023.
The purpose of this open house is for the City to provide project information to interested citizens and to solicit their input about the proposed project. Furthermore, this is an opportunity for residents to provide feedback. If you provide your contact information when leaving a comment, we will send a letter summarizing the comments received, the City’s response, and a status update on the project about two months after the close of the comment period.
