No person shall conduct or participate in any parade upon that portion of any street / highway that is open to the use of the public as a thoroughfare for purposes of vehicular traffic, or block off any such portion of a street/highway area, without first obtaining a permit from the Director of the Police Department serving this city.
Application must be filed with the Chief of Police not less than 7 days prior to the intended time of parade or street blockage being requested. It shall be the duty of the applicant to pick up the permit or the rejection at the dispatch offices of the City of Beavercreek Police Department, after being notified of its completion.
The applicant agrees to abide by all applicable city ordinances, regulations, and requirements, to assume responsibility for the placement and safeguarding of barricading, signs, lights, etc. Loaned by the city, and to clean up the street after the event. The applicant further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the city, its agents and employees, from and against any and all claims, demands, lawsuits or judgements made by any person, arising out of any exercise of privilege granted by this permit and to reimburse the city for any expense incurred by it by reason of any such claim, demand, lawsuit or judgement.
