Vice Mayor Zach Upton and his wife, Heather, are the proud parents of Ainsley and Reagen. Upton brings a strong background in public service and professional expertise to the Beavercreek City Council. A 2002 graduate and class president of Beavercreek High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and politics from Regent University.
Professionally, Upton serves as assistant vice president and relationship manager at Synchrony, with more than 18 years of experience in the consumer finance industry. His extensive record of public service includes two previous terms on Beavercreek City Council from 2011 to 2019, during which he led the initiative to establish a direct-elected mayor. His leadership experience also includes service on several municipal boards, including the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Board. Most recently, he served as chair of the 2024 Charter Review Committee.
An active community advocate, Upton holds leadership roles with the Cardinal Hill Recreation Club and the Holland American Club and serves on the Ohio Conservative Energy Forum Advisory Board.
