Biography
David Litteral was elected to Beavercreek City Council in January 2024. Prior to joining city council, David had a distinguished career as a Greene County Deputy Sheriff and has since retired after 25 years of dedicated service. During his tenure at the sheriff’s office, David held various roles, including Sergeant, Accreditation Manager, Crime Prevention Specialist, DARE Deputy, SWAT Team member, GCDSBA President, and Evidence/Property Room Manager.
For more than half of his career with the sheriff’s office, David served as the primary community engagement deputy. In this capacity, he coordinated neighborhood watch groups, conducted security surveys, and delivered crime prevention presentations to Greene County citizens. It was during this period that David discovered his passion for working with the community and making a positive impact on residents’ safety and security.
A lifelong resident of Greene County, David, along with his wife Melissa, has called Beavercreek home for the past 28 years. Both David and Melissa share a love for travel and an active involvement in the Beavercreek community, dedicated to serving the citizens of the city.
