[ARCHIVED] Landmark Returns to Beavercreek

Clock tower 06.29.18

LANDMARK RETURNS TO BEAVERCREEK

The City of Beavercreek’s commemorative clock tower has returned to the intersection of North Fairfield Road and Dayton-Xenia Road.

On March 16, 2018 the clock was removed for needed repairs to the clock head.  The weather seal on the top catch had failed and allowed water to enter into the head of the clock.  The water expanded and contracted causing the housing to crack.  The repairs also included replacing the controller and servicing the unit.

To preserve the heritage of the clock, the city will have the annual maintenance performed to ensure it remains a landmark in the city for many years to come.
