City Council has placed a renewal 3.4 mill continuous levy on the May 4, 2021 ballot.  If approved, the levy would result in no increase in taxes.  The cost of this levy will cost residents less than $89 per $100,000 valuation of property. This levy represents approximately 76% of the street levy fund revenue and is the primary funding source for 37 full-time employees.

This levy provides funding for the operation of the Street and Engineering Divisions. The Street Division maintains approximately 253 miles of street, with accompanying street lighting, signs, traffic signals, pavement markings and storm sewer systems. In addition, continuation of this level of service, provides residents and traveling public alike services such as snow plowing, street sweeping, pavement repairs, mowing, landscaping, ditching, tree trimming, and is essential in maintaining the infrastructure of the City.

The Engineering Division applies and administers the State and Federal Grant funding programs and oversees the resurfacing program and major capital improvements. The Engineering Division also provides oversight to public improvements funded by private development. This division is responsible for applying for and receiving more than 95 million dollars worth in grant capital improvement dollars by leveraging less than 22 million dollars of local money.

Without the revenue generated by this levy, Beavercreek residents would see a significant reduction in street and engineering service levels.  If approved, the levy would result in no increase in taxes.
