Watercolor artist Carol Edsall will be featured at The Gallery at Lofino Plaza throughout the month of October.
Edsall grew up in Centerville, Ohio and graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic arts. She relocated to the San Francisco Bay area and retired from Manny’s West Coast Buying.
Upon returning to Ohio, she was introduced to watercolor and immediately fell in love with its fluidity and ease of expression. She has continued to expand her talent through studies and workshops from nationally known artists, including Misuk Goltz, Yuki Hall, Nita Leland, Soon Y Warren, Leonard Williams, and Liam Quan Zhen.
She is inspired by the profound beauty of our natural surroundings and abundance of wildlife. In her landscapes, she seeks out the quiet spaces that feed the soul, hoping to pass on that emotion to her observers. Her love of wildlife has been fueled by many visits to Ohio’s excellent zoos.
Her paintings have been exhibited in various juried shows and reside in private collections in Dayton, Kettering, and the Columbus area. She is a member of the Western Ohio Watercolor Society, Vice President of the Fairborn Art Association, and associate member of the Ohio Watercolor Society.
The Gallery at Lofino Plaza hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon. Edsall will host a meet and greet on Saturday, October 16 from 10 a.m. to Noon.
