The City of Beavercreek is proud to announce that applications are now open for its 2025 Veteran Banner Program, an initiative designed to honor and recognize local veterans who have served in the U.S. military. This community pride program celebrates the service and sacrifice of veterans with specially designed banners displayed prominently along North Fairfield and Dayton-Xenia Roads.
The veteran banner program includes full-color, double-sided banners featuring a veteran's picture, name, military branch, rank, and years served. These banners are displayed on designated light poles annually from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.
Spots for the program are limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all available spaces are filled, applicants will need to wait for the following year’s program cycle.
To qualify for the program, the individual featured on the banner must:
- Be a current or former resident of Beavercreek or an immediate family member of a current Beavercreek resident (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandchild, or child-in-law).
- Be a U.S. military veteran from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, or National Guard.
Active-duty service members are not eligible, and applicants must provide verification of military service, such as a DD-214 form.
Applications are available on the city’s website as both an online and printable form. Submissions are due by March 31, 2025, or until all available spots are filled. Early submission is encouraged due to high demand.
After Veterans Day, they will be removed and made available for pickup by applicants as a keepsake. Applicants will be notified when their banners are ready for pickup.
Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit card. Checks should be payable to the City of Beavercreek, with the service member’s name written in the memo line. Credit card payments are accepted in person or over the phone by calling (937) 427-5513, with a $3 service fee applied. Payments can be submitted to the city’s engineering division at Beavercreek City Hall, located at 1368 Research Park Drive.
