[ARCHIVED] Millions Slated for Roadway Improvements in 2018

With the approval of the 2018 budget, Beavercreek City Council authorized proceeding with the construction of over $5.8 million in roadway improvements. These construction projects will impact major routes such as National Road, Indian Ripple Road, N. Fairfield Road, and Shakertown Road to name a few. A complete listing of the projects that are planned to be active in 2018 may be viewed at https://www.beavercreekohio.gov/183/Engineering. This pace of construction is made possible through the receipt of over $3.2 million in grant funds and through the support of Beavercreek voters.

In addition to the new projects planned for 2018, work will continue on the Dayton-Xenia Road Widening and Shakertown Road Widening projects this spring with completion projected for the summer of 2018.

In addition to these construction projects, the City of Beavercreek plans to invest approximately $2 million in resurfacing efforts in 2018 and approximately $325,000 in curb repairs. The selection of streets for resurfacing and curb repair is expected to be completed in March, and once the list is finalized, it will be posted to the City of Beavercreek’s website. The City hopes to match or exceed the record 16 centerline miles of streets resurfaced last year with our 2018 paving program.

Questions regarding improvements may be directed to the City of Beavercreek, Engineering Division, at (937) 427-5513.
