The Beavercreek Senior Center has something for everyone.  The Center is a place for older adults to go and be with other people, meet new friends, learn new skills, work on a crossword puzzle or read a good book.  There is always something to do whether it is eating, exercising on the new state-of-the-art fitness equipment, or playing games of all sorts.

Research shows that across the country, nearly 11,000 centers serve 1 million older adults each day.  A center serves as a hub for older adults connecting them to valuable services that can help stay healthy and independent.  They are places with high energy, a variety of activities and programs.  According to the National Council on Aging, older adults who participate in senior center programs experience measurable improvements in their physical, social, spiritual, emotional, mental and economic well-being.

Beavercreek’s center has it all.  The Center is open Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Friday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m – 12:00 p.m.

The Center has over 140 volunteers in a variety of areas and volunteers are always needed.  If you are interested in joining this great group of people and want to help others, stop by or call the Center at (937) 426-6166.

With the 2017 Lofino Plaza renovation, the center has meeting space available for non-profit groups, community groups, organizations and others.  A new multipurpose room now provides additional space to offer new programs and classes for youth, teens, adults and families.  “The facility is a great place and resource for all ages with the various available programs and community space,” said City Manager Pete Landrum. The Plaza is connected to the Senior Center and the Beavercreek Community Theatre.  To find out how your group can reserve the space, contact the City of Beavercreek Parks, Recreation & Culture Department at (937) 427-5514.
