Police Activity

The Beavercreek Police Department publishes a bi-weekly report of police activity throughout the City of Beavercreek to help keep citizens informed. Details on activity conducted by our officers over a two-week period can be found in the links below. This information includes all self-initiated activity and calls for service, broken down into categories and by incident type. Click on the links below to view that time period’s information. Many calls for service require more than one officer to respond, including calls involving life-threatening situations, injury crashes, crimes in progress, burglary and hold-up alarms, domestic incidents, etc.

In addition, you can view the Lexis-Nexis Community Crime Map to see the locations of select crimes throughout the City of Beavercreek. By clicking on the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Crime Map, you can sign up for daily, weekly or monthly email alerts about crime occurring within a certain distance of an address of interest, such as your home, workplace or school.

Categories:

911 Hang-ups and Alarms: Officers respond to 911 hang-ups and alarms to verify the safety and security of people and property.

Traffic Related Activities: Includes activities related to enforcing traffic laws and ensuring the safety of motorists and pedestrians.

Crashes: Officers are responsible for handling all crashes within city limits, including those on IR 675 and US 35.

Extra Patrols & Business Checks: Officers conduct extra patrols and business checks, proactively and upon citizen request, to address community concerns and ensure the safety and security of businesses.

Community Policing Activities:  While patrolling their districts, officers interact with citizens and identify conditions that could lead to crime or other public safety issues.

Administrative Duties:  Officers may be required to complete various administrative tasks and other duties.

Drug Activity:  Officers conduct investigations into drug activity and respond to overdose incidents. 

Request for Officer Assistance:  Includes calls initiated by citizens or an officer in which police assistance is needed to help resolve a situation.

Crimes Reported: Incidents initially categorized as a crime may change depending on the results of the investigation.

Arrests: Includes adults and juveniles.
